2021 Interior Design Trend Predictions
Although I am not one to implement a lot of “trends” in my home or client work, I do like to pay attention to what’s happening in the world of design. Before I share a few predictions for what we will be seeing a lot of in 2021 I think it’s important for me to say don’t feel pressured to follow trends. What is most important is that you stay true to your own style and what makes you happy.
Diamond Patterned Flooring
You may have noticed this patterned flooring popping up in a lot of different homes. It is a beautiful, classic style that can stand the test of time.
Rich Colors
I think we are going to see a shift away form all white spaces. Rich colors and tone on tone rooms will be very popular. I’m ready to see more personality and moody spaces this year.
Arched Entryways
We saw a lot of arched entryways in 2020 and I think we will continue to see this throughout 2021. Arches can add architectural interest and character.
Small Scale Wallpaper
Wallpaper has had huge comeback over the last several years. There are so many great modern options out there in both traditional and removable styles. I think we will be seeing a lot of beautiful smaller scale patterns.
