Guest Bathroom Refresh

When we bought our home 5 years ago we knew we wanted to remodel our guest bathroom someday. In 2020 we did a bandaid makeover to update the space until we were ready to do a full renovation. The photo on the left is right after we moved in. The photo on the right is our refresh we did a few years ago. I pretty much painted every surface from the walls and light fixture, down to the linoleum floors.

The plan for the new bathroom design was to still keep it budget friendly, but to make a big impact. We decided to keep our existing wood vanity, mirror, and shower. Everything else was updated. The first step when designing any space is coming up with a moodboard. It helps to visualize how the space will come together. I wanted the bathroom to be light and bright, but still have a touch of moodiness. So I decided to paint the vanity dark green and keep the rest of the space lighter. I mix brass and black hardware throughout our home so I decided to continue that in the bathroom.

Tile | Light | Robe Hook | Towel Bar | Faucet | Soap Dispenser | Artwork | Bathmat | Calcutta Clara Quartz Counters

We decided to fully tackle this project on our own minus installing the countertops. I decided to lay the floor tile in this pattern to add some extra interest to the space. Although it wasn’t the easiest tile to lay for us beginners it turned out beautiful.

This artwork from Paper House Print Shop was the perfect fit for our bathroom. It ties in with the vanity color beautifully. I often use Paper House Print shop for affordable artwork. You can get 10% off your order with code PIONIERE10

I’m so happy with how this guest bathroom turned out. We now have a brighter space to welcome guests into our home.
