Fall Home Tour and Decorating Tips

It’s always fun to refresh your home for Fall, but this year since we are all spending a lot more time at home I tried to make mine extra cozy. I personally don’t like over the top decorating for the seasons. I like to add subtle textures and layers. One trick to making seasonal decorating look great is to coordinate it with your existing color schemes. Pillows, throws, candles and stems can change your whole space.

One easy update I made in our entry is adding these pretty faux stems. I will be able to use them year after year. I always like to mix metals and natural materials to add warmth and texture.

Cooler days and nights means a lot of time cuddled up on the sofa. In the living room I added a few new throw pillows in warmer tones and pulled out my favorite cozy throw blanket. On the coffee table I added more beautiful stems and one of my favorite fall scented candles.

My mantle is probably my favorite spot to style for the seasons. I like to keep it simple. These dried lagurus branches and woven pumpkin are the only season specific items. Whenever I style any space in my home I like to “shop” my house. Moving around different accessories can create totally different and fresh looks.

In our kitchen I brought in just a few small accents to add some warm texture. I already have a lot of neutral items on my shelves so these woven pumpkins and yellow stems are the perfect Fall touch.

Our kitchen nook is one of the most used spaces in our home so I didn’t want to add too much. Switching out our table runner and adding these purple leaves was really the only thing needed to get the fresh Fall look.

I’ve linked the Fall items I have in my home and here are a few more finds I love.
